Terms & outdoor activity waiver

Version 2026-10-26-draft-1

Terms of use

Renga connects travelers with independent guides offering outdoor activities. Account information must be accurate. You agree to use the service lawfully, respect other members, and follow your guide’s reasonable safety instructions. Listing or booking a trip does not guarantee conditions, availability, or safety. Payment, cancellation, refund and dispute terms must be finalized before paid bookings launch.

Outdoor risks and responsibility

Outdoor activities may involve serious injury, illness, disability or death from hazards including weather, terrain, water, heights, wildlife, equipment failure and the actions of others. Assess whether an activity suits your health, experience and abilities; disclose relevant limitations to your guide and use appropriate protective equipment. You may stop participating when you feel unsafe.

Assumption of risk and proposed waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily assume the inherent risks of activities you choose and agree to release Renga and the participating guide from claims arising from ordinary negligence associated with those activities. This proposed release does not cover gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or rights that cannot legally be waived. State-specific law may limit or invalidate this language.

Electronic agreement

Checking the agreement box records your affirmative electronic acceptance of this version of the terms and proposed waiver. Guides may require additional activity-specific agreements. This general agreement is not authorization for a background check. Guardian consent and arrangements for minors require separate legal review.

Legal review required

Draft only—not legal advice or a finalized contract. Before launch, a qualified attorney must review the release, state-specific enforceability, minors, insurance, marketplace responsibilities, dispute provisions, privacy practices and payment/cancellation terms. No promise of legal enforceability is made.
